UNIVERSITY CHAIR "Promo Bienestar"
Promoting the Health and Emotional Well-Being of Adolescents and Young Adults
Youth Wellness: Prevention, Resilience and Mental Health.
This initiative responds to an urgent need: to prevent emotional problems in the young population, to promote resilience in the face of adversity, and to reduce the stigma that still persists around mental health.
From the PROMOBIENESTAR Chair, we work for a stronger, more aware and better accompanied youth. We invite you to get to know, participate and be part of this commitment to the emotional health of young people.
We are born with Big Objectives
Our objectives are broad, but deeply connected to the social and emotional reality of young people. We want to be a bridge between academic knowledge and professional practice, between research and social action, between prevention and hope.
Promoting young people's emotional wellbeing
Promote healthy, resilient and stigma-free environments where adolescents and young people can develop emotionally.
Preventing and detecting emotional difficulties at an early stage
Develop strategies for prevention, early detection and intervention against risk behaviours such as suicide or self-harm.
Training key professionals
To offer specialised training to those working in the educational, health, social and youth fields, improving their capacity for emotional accompaniment.
Promoting mental health research and innovation
Generate and apply scientific knowledge to design effective resources, protocols and public policies.
Transferring knowledge to society
Sharing good practices, advising institutions and organising dissemination actions to generate a real and lasting impact.
